Le livre prend la forme d'un nuancier afin d'illustrer la pluralité de la création typographique au Royaume-Uni, et les multiples inspirations et compositions des fonderies qui en sont à l'origine. Ce nuancier typographique s'inscrit dans la continuité de la collection commencée avec le premier Typologie consacré aux fonderies françaises, et le second consacré aux fonderies suisses.
Le nuancier est introduit par trois essais de Neville Brody, Pierre-Yann Lallaizon et Jean-Baptiste Chouvenc, avec une couverture en lettering réalisée par Seb Lester.

The book takes the form of a color chart in order to illustrate the plurality of type design in United Kingdom, and the multiple inspirations and compositions of the type foundries behind it. This typographic palette continues the collection began with the first Typologie dedicated to French foundries, and the second dedicated to Swiss foundries.
Typologie includes introductory essays written by Neville Brody, Jean-Baptiste Chouvenc and Pierre-Yann Lallaizon. The lettering composed for its cover is a unique creation by Seb Lester.
